Catamaran cruise South Corsica: departure
You board in the port of Ajaccio. The staff members invite you to come on board. They show you
around, after a safety briefing. They also explain that, during your Marina Vela cruise in Corsica,
everything is included! All you have to do is ask! Then you set sail for your first destination: the
Isolella peninsula on the south shore of Ajaccio.
Day 1: Departure from the port of Ajaccio to Anchorage of Isolella
For this first day of cruising the Marina Vela team will welcome you on board for a briefing on safety and life on board. After having carried out the check-up of the boat, departure from the port of Ajaccio for 1 hour of navigation towards the anchorage around the peninsula of isolella on the south shore of Ajaccio meal and night at anchor.
Day 2: Sailing to Sartene
The next day, you have a good breakfast on the back deck of your rented sailing boat. The skipper raises the anchor for about 2 hours of sailing, in the direction of Capo Di Muro. The morning’s programme is full:

Aperitif on the boat
After this little moment of relaxation, you get back on the boat. Your Corsican cruise on board the catamaran continues. The yacht then heads for Cala Di Conca which is 3 hours away by sail. Its beach is one of the most beautiful in Southern Corsica. It is located in a narrow bay well protected from the wind. It is only accessible on foot or by boat. It is an idyllic setting for relaxation !
Day 3: heading for the Roccapina tower
You start with a stopover on the beach of Murtoli after a 2.5 hour walk on the sea. You then set off again towards the Roccapina cove. You will see, it is one of the most sumptuous of South Corsica. The bay of Roccapina is located on the road to Bonifacio, 22 km south of Sartene. It is guarded by a stone lion sculpted by time and sea spray. In this paradisiacal corner, the sea is of an extraordinary blue lagoon. From the beach, you can take a walk to the Roccapina tower. The view is magical!
Day 4: Gulf of Ventiglia by sailboat
In the morning, you head for the Gulf of Ventilegne where you can enjoy a variety of water sports. All you have to do is choose!
When night falls, don’t forget to listen carefully. There is a good chance you will hear the songs of the grey shearwaters.
Day 5: Lavezzi Islands by catamaran
Make the most of your stay on a sailing boat on the Lavezzi Islands. They offer you beaches of turquoise water and very fine sand. This is not so common during a cruise on board a catamaran in the south of Corsica.
On a clear day you can even see Sardinia in the distance. The west side of the Grand Sperone beach is the perfect spot for swimming and fish watching.
At around 2 p.m., you set sail for your next anchorage at Piantarella. This lagoon is also ideal for all kinds of water sports. Don’t miss it! To end the day, you will settle in the port of Bonifacio. Don’t hesitate to visit it by night. It is a marvel !
Day 6: Anchorage at Tizzano
Today, you have the opportunity to observe the marvellous seabed. They are full of posidonia and many varieties of fish. They are only 30 minutes away by boat, near the Fazzio Islands. Rest assured, this place is much less crowded than the star beaches of Bonifacio. So you are not disturbed by the crowd.
Then, around 5 p.m., you sail to the port of Tizzano. There, you can have your meal on board or eat at Antoine’s who serves you succulent grilled meat or fish.
Day 7: Return to Ajaccio by catamaran
On the morning of the seventh day, you take the road back home. Don’t worry, your catamaran cruise on the south coast of Corsica still has many surprises in store for you. The cala d’Orzu is one of them. The water is transparent. Have lunch with your feet in the water at Francis straw hut. The service is outstanding!
Around 5pm, it’s time to return to the port of Ajaccio. For your last outing, go and taste the lobster pasta at the restaurant Le bilboquet, in the old town. They are delicious and there is plenty of entertainment. You can also enjoy your evening on board your catamaran.
Day 8: Departure from the boat
