4-day itinerary
Day 1: Departing from Marseille and layover on Frioul Island
You will board your catamaran in Marseille at around 6 pm. Your skipper will give you a tour of the boat and tell you about your itinerary for the next 4 days. You will then leave the port of Marseille and head to your first destination: Frioul Island. You will stop near the Saint-Estève rocky inlet, right across the Chateau d’If.
It is a very good spot for swimming and snorkeling.
Day 2: Heading to the Riou Archipelago and rocky inlets
For your second day onboard, your skipper will sail east for the Riou Archipelago and the Cassis rocky inlets. This iconic nature reserve on the French Riviera will take your breath away! The very high cliffs made of limestone dive in the bright blue sea. In the middle of the reserve, snorkeling is a must. Many kinds of fish can be spotted. You might even see some marine mammals a little further off the coast!
Day 3: Giens Peninsula
You will sail for a few hours to reach your next destination. During the journey, you will be able to enjoy our premium amenities onboard. Your skipper will entertain you with some fishing or teach you the basics of sailing, weather permitting.
When you arrive at your destination, you will be able to enjoy many water activities, such as paddleboarding, wakeboarding, snorkeling and fishing.
Day 4: Back to Marseille, layover at the Figuerolles rocky inlet
You will leave early in the morning to head back to the port of Marseille. During the 6-hour journey, you will have a layover at the Figuerolles rocky inlet. Not as popular as the ones in Cassis, this beautiful creek with brown rocks, situated near the port of La Ciotat, is very unique. You will be able to swim and have lunch in this beautiful scenery, away from most tourists. Then, you will depart around 3 pm and reach Marseille around 6-6:30 pm.
Day 5: Last day of the Marine Vela Cruise and check out
Your Marine Vela cruise is coming to an end! Your skipper will help you check out and you will be able to leave the boat around 10:30 am. We strongly recommend that you go and explore the “Panier” neighborhood in Marseille and walk around the Old Port.
